Alford, Julius Eugene "Gene"—Died Friday, Sept. 10, 1993, at St. Helena Parish Hospital, Greensburg.

He was 93, a native and resident of St. Helena Parish. He was a retired State of Louisiana employee.

Visiting at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Sunday…. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, Kentwood.

Survived by a son, W.C. "Neal" Alford II, Slidell; a sister, Mrs. Louise "Tiny" Allen, Kentwood; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by wife, Katie Belle McGee Alford; parents, W.C. "Neal" and Adelia Grice Alford; six brothers, Shelby "Bumbo," Robert Parrish, Speedy, W.C. Jr., Grenis Willard Alford and an infant brother; six sisters, Minnie Harris, Lillie Mae Falcon, Jessie Young, Mittie McNabb, Fannie Hughes and Clara Alford.

He was a member of Day's United Methodist Church and St. Helena Lodge No. 96, F&AM.
