Annie Martha Nelson was born in Bloomington, Bear Lake, Idaho to Thomas Billington Nelson and Dorthe Kirstine Jensen. Annie had eight siblings: Orson Billington, Laura Alvira, Rhoda Caoline, Nancy Catherine, Dorthea Rosety, George Alma, Mary Almeda, and Alice Leavirn. She married Newton Francis Austin Jr in Dingle Del, Idaho on 1 October, 1891. They had five children - Lottie, Phoebe Hazel, Thomas Francis, Russell Dewitt, and Max Hugh. They moved to Cardston, Alberta, Canada in 1900. Annie was a genealogist and also a temple worker in the Cardston Temple. Annie was well known for her baking. She died of heart failure and is buried in Cardston.
