The funeral for Lydia Hull was Saturday at the Williams
Funeral Home Chapel, Edgar.
She died Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Bethesda Care Center,
Edgar, at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 26 days.
Lydia Marie Ahrens Hull, the daughter of August and Emma
Tuepker Ahrens, was born Aug. 18, 1901, in Thayer County,
Nebraska.
She grew up in the rural Deshler area, attending the
rural Deshler school systems.
After leaving school, she began work as a practical nurse,
working in the Hebron hopsital.
In 1927, she moved to Sedan,Neb., and cared for her parents
who were in ill health.
May 2,1940, she was united in marriage to Clay Hull at
Davenport.
She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church,
Davenport.
Preceding her in death were her parents, one sister, Anna,
and four brothers, August, Louie, Henry and John Ahrens.
Survivors include her husband, Clay, Edgar;
daughters, Mrs. Bud Rothfuss (Lola), Edgar; three grand-
children, Mrs. Mike Pallas(Toni) of Omaha, Mrs. Ron
Soucie (Lesley) Fairfield and Greg Rothfuss, Grand Island;
two great-grandchildren,Amber and Erin Pallas, Omaha; and
many other relatives.
The Rev. Donald Hunzeker was the officiant. Burial was in
the Davenport Cemetery.
