ANNA AHRENS IS DEAD

Nurse at Blue Valley Hospital Succumbs to Attack of Typhoid

Miss Anna Ahrens, a nurse at the Blue Valley Hospital, died yesterday morning, having been ill of typhoid fever since October 4. She was 24 years old.

Miss Ahrens has been at the hospital for about four years, first as a maid and later as a nurse. It is in her capacity of nurse that Anna Ahrens is best known as a wholesome, big-hearted, cheerful girl, whose very presence in the room helped and cheered the patient. Her capable ministrations will be sadly missed, and those for whom she has cared feel in her passing a personal loss.

Miss Ahrens is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Ahrens, who live at Sedan, the first station west of Davenport, and besides her parent she leaves several brothers and sisters to mourn her loss. The funeral will be held from the home on Friday afternoon and burial will be in the Davenport Cemetery.
