Mrs. Emma Christine Tuepker Ahrens of Sedan died Tuesday,
December 6, at the age of 67.
Funeral services were conducted this afternoon, December 8,
by the Rev. Henry Dumler.
Mrs. Ahrens was born near St. Louis, Mo., on January 20, 1871.
She came with her parents to Nebraska in early childhood and located north of Deshler.
On October 18, 1894, she married August Ahrens. To this
union, were born seven children, two of whom preceded their
mother in death.
Mr. Ahrens passed on six years ago.
She leaves to mourn her passing, one daughter, Lydia, at home; four sons, August of Kearney, Louis of Oak, Henry of Edgar,
and John of Arnold, Nebr.; seven grandchildren; three
brothers, Ed Tuepker of Chester, Oliver Tuepker of Omaha and
Louie Tuepker of Lodge Pole; two sisters, Mrs. John Bower of
Davenport and Mrs. Minnie Snyder of Otis, Colo.; and
half-sister, Mrs. Chris Heinrichs of Hastings.
