Born in Rolling Prairie, Indiana, to Reeves Samuel and Minnie (Sauers) Moore.

Married Clyde Proud of New Carlisle, Indiana, in Berrien Springs, Michigan, on September 7, 1926. Together they had one son:
1. Omer Dean Proud (b. July 7, 1928, in La Porte, Indiana)

After Clyde's death she married Claudis Eugene Van Dusen of New Carlisle at the First Methodist Church in Michigan City, Indiana, on August 20, 1938. She kept house at their home in Rolling Prairie, where she was a member of the Methodist Church.

Died of a sudden heart attack while a resident of Fountainview Terrace Nursing Home in La Porte on October 16, 1991, and was buried in Rolling Prairie on October 18, 1991.

Mrs. Pauline Van Dusen, 85, of 212 E. Michigan St., Rolling Prairie, died today, Wednesday, Oct. 16, 1991, at 5 a.m. at Fountainview Terrace Nursing Home. She was born June 10, 1906, in Rolling Prairie, to Reeves and Minnie (Sauers) Moore, and lived there all her life. Mrs. Van Dusen was a member of the Methodist Church and Methodist Ladies Circle. On August 20, 1938, in Michigan City, she married Claude E. Van Dusen, who died Dec. 27, 1983. Surving are one son, Dean Proud, of Knox; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Claude and Robert Moore, preceded her in death. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Cutler Funeral Home, with Rev. John L. King officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday until service. Burial will be in Rolling Prairie Cemetery.
