Dr. Thomas Howard Marable was the son of Dr. John Hartwell Marable, II, and Evelina Helen Hutchison Smith Marable. He was a prominent physician in the county and was the sitting Mayor of the City of Clarksville, TN when he died. He was 62 years of age and died of heart trouble. He married Lena Lane in Memphis Shelby County, TN on December 3, 1884. He was a greatly loved and admired person and hundreds of people attended his funeral service.
