Lane Marable was the son of Mayor Thomas Howard Marable, M. D. and Lena Lane. He was an insurance and real estate executive and was a principal in the firm of Conroy, Marable and Holleman. On Oct 31, 1924, he married Ryllis Greene. His sister was Dudley Marable Greathouse and his stepson was Dr. W. G. Lyle.
