James Farley, 44, widely known Dushore Farmer, passed away in the Robert Packer Hospital on Saturday evening after an extended illness.

A son of the late John and Catherine O’Neill Farley, he was born in Cherry Township on Nov. 29, 1905, on the same farm where his family now resides.

Surviving are his wife, Mildred Sick Farley; two daughters, Ann and Mary Lou at home; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Taffe of Dushore.

Funeral services were held at the family home Wednesday at 9 a.m., and from St. Basil’s Church in Dushore at 9:30. Interment in St. Francis Cemetery at Cummiskey.
