Mildred Louise Sick Farley, 90, of Dushore, Pa. passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2004 at the Dar-Way Nursing Home in Estella, Pa.

Mildred was born May 22, 1913 in Dushore, daughter of the late John C. & Louise Ambs Sick. She attended the Cherry Mills School and married James Farley of Cherry Township on April 16, 1934 at St. Basil's Church. James predeceased her on April 8, 1950.

Mildred was a homemaker and after her husband's death worked for many years at the Endicott-Johnson Mfg. Co. in Mildred, Pa. and Sull-Craft Mfg. Co. of Dushore. After retirement Mildred was an Avon Lady and also groomed dogs. She was a member of the Cherry Mills Homemakers, where she made many crafts and quilts.

Mildred was a very active member of St. Basil's Church, Dushore, and a member of the former Altar and Rosary Society.

Surviving are his two daughters: Ann Dehler of Dushore, and Mary Lou Murray of Dushore; six grandchildren: Mitchell Dehler of Pasadena, Calif., John Dehler of New Albany, Stacey Fiester Ceely of Los Angeles, James Farley Fiester of Mildred, Kristie Murray of Dushore, and Jennifer Kiess of Dushore; five great grandchildren: Tyler Murray, Alexis Kiess, Daniel Dehler, Sonia Dehler, Nicholas Dehler, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Marie Farrell and Margaret Gainer and two brothers, Francis Sick and Joseph Sick and a special friend, Elwood Arey.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 8, 2004 at 10 a.m. from the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Basil's Church, Dushore, with the Rev. David R. Betts, her pastor, presiding. Interment will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Cummiskey, Pa.
Friends may call on Sunday, March 7, 2004 at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, from 2 to 4 p.m. and on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

The Catholic Women's Guild will recite the Rosary on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family will provide the flowers and direct Memorials to St. Basil's Church, PO Box 307, Dushore, PA 18614 or to the Dushore Fire and Ambulance Assn., PO Box 1, Dushore, PA 18614.
