LA FERIA, TX. — Verdett A. Berna , 91, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at Valley Baptist Medical Center. A wish he always hoped for was to never have to leave his home until his death.
Mr. Berna is survived by his two daughters, four grandchildren, four great-granddaughters, two great-grandsons, one brother, and caregiver, Rosie Charles.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Irene Berna.
Graveside services only will be held at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria, 2 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2005 with George McCall officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
