Louis Irvin Grubaugh was born to John Millard Grubaugh and Josephine Meeting in 1945 in Mansfield, OH. He was the 8th of the family's 10 children, 7 boys and 3 girls. When Lou was still very young, his birth parents were struggling to feed all of the children, so Catholic Charities stepped in to help find the children homes. Lou and two of his siblilngs, Sharon and Michael, were adopted by an older couple in Toledo, Ohio - Bernard J. Leasor and Valita A. Sendelbach. All three children acquired the surname Leasor

Lou Leasor, 78, of Waerville, Ohio, passed away at Northcrest in Napoleon while also in care of Hospice of NWO on September 20th after a long illness. He was born in Mansfield, Ohio to John and Josephine (Meeting) Grubaugh, and was adopted by Bernard and Valita (Sendelbach) Leasor of Toledo, Ohio, in 1955 through Catholic Charities with two younger siblings.
Lou was a proud Catholic and attended St. Patrick's Church Providence. He graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1964 before eventually going to work at Tiedke's, then onto Roadway Express where he retired after 25 years. Lou was an Honored Teamster of the Local 20, a fervent Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan since 1953, and an avid 49er fan since 1979. Lou enjoyed farming and landscaping, along with many philanthropic efforts involving the Sisters of Notre Dame Family Fest, Teamsters Pumpkin Patch, McQuade Law firm Food Pantry, and others.
Lou was preceded in death by his parents, seven siblings, and granddaughter, Annabelle Rose. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Susan (Rizor) Leasor, siblings William (Janet) Grubaugh, Marilyn (Richard) Holmes, children Clint (Michelle) Leasor, Michelle (Les) Case, Corey Leasor, Nicole (Thomas) Patterson, and grandchildren Kylee, Taylor, Jordan, Sydney, Alex, Emma, Ethan, Addalyn, Thomas, and Elliot.
Family will accept friends Monday September 25th at Hanneman Funeral Home, 24084 W. Second Street, Grand Rapids, Ohio between 4PM~8PM. The 11AM funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, September 26th at St. Patrick Providence Catholic Church in Grand Rapids, Ohio. Burial will be held in private at a later date.
