Helen Fuchs, 95, of Harrisburg, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at the Saline Care Center in Harrisburg. She was born in a log cabin in the Bowlesville Township in Gallatin County on December 14, 1927. Helen was one of eleven children born to the late Herman and Lela (Thompson) Stacey. She married Alfred Fuchs on May 12, 1970 and sadly Alfred preceded Helen in death on February 25, 2016. Helen was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eldorado....She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Russell Price; her grandson, Casey Cosby; four sisters, Mildred Cremeens, Neva Ruth Thompson, Wilma K. Stacey, Wanda Burpo; one brother, Bill Stacey. There will be a graveside service held on Saturday, September 16th at the Hogan Cemetery near Shawneetown with Father Christian Iwuagwa officiating. Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown in charge of services. Donations in Helen's memory may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois.
