William H. 'Bill' Stacey
William H. "Bill" Stacey, 63, of 138 South Main St., Junction, died at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, 1998, at his home.
He was born on Nov. 21, 1934, in Shawneetown, to the late Herman Stacey, and Lela Thompson Stacey. He was a former deputy sheriff of Gallatin County, and an Army veteran. He was a member of the American Legion.
Surviving are his mother, Lela Stacey of Junction; two daughters, Saundra Stacey of Junction, and Sarah Stacey of Benton, Ky.; two sons, Cody Stacey of Shawneetown, and Billy Joe Stacey of Benton, Ky.; four brothers, Paul Stacey of Shawneetown, Don Stacey of red Cremeens of Equality, Helen Fuchs, Wanda Burpo and Wilma Stacey, all of Harrisburg, and Emma Smith and Niva Thompson, both of Shawneetown; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at 11 a.m. at Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown, where visitation was held Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial was in Hogan Cemetery at Shawneetown.
