Wilma Dee Copeland, 84 of Arkansas City died Thursday, April 10, 2008 at her residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 14, 2008 at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home in Arkansas City. The Reverend Joyce Daniel and the Reverend Danny Daniel will officiate. Interment will follow in the Parker Cemetery.

Wilma was born February 27, 1924 to Charles William Boyer and Gertrude (Flauding) Boyer in Newkirk, Oklahoma. She attended Newkirk Schools.

On February 10, 1948 she married William John Copeland in Arkansas City where the couple has resided since. Wilma was a bookkeeper for Anthony's and Dee's Sundries. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Arkansas City.

Wilma is survived by her two sons, Chuck Copeland of Wichita, John Copeland and his wife, Rebecca of Sioux City, IA; daughter, Carolyn Miller and her husband, Eric of Dallas; sisters, Eva Beeks and Dorothy Fultz both of Arkansas City, Jessie Stout of McAllen, TX; brother, Bob Boyer of Banner Elk, NC; four grandchildren, Cami Copeland of Sioux City, IA, Courtney Amore of Pace, FL, Jeff Miller of Frisco, TX and Russ Miller of Dallas, TX; four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2002; brother, Alvin Boyer; sisters, Ruth Burnett and Allene Lewman.

A memorial has been established with the American Legion Auxiliary. Contributions may me made through the funeral home.
