She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Stout. The couple were married 66 yrs before his passing in 2005. They resided in Arkansas City, KS until moving to McAllen, TX in 1963. Jessie's greatest love was her family. She was also an ardent book lover and a member of a McAllen book club for several years. She had a witty sense of humor and usually had a humorous adage or poem to share with those close to her.
Jessie was born in Kay Co., OK to Charles W. and Gertrude (Flauding) Boyer. She was the fourth child of eight children. The good memories of her childhood and the bond and respect she had with her siblings brought her great joy throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Ruth Burnet, Allene Lewman, Wilma Copeland, Dorothy Fultz, and brothers Alvin and Bob Boyer.
Jessie was the devoted mother of two daughters, Janet (Julio) Guzman of McAllen, TX and Virginia (Ken) Healy of San Antonio, TX. She is also survived by grandchildren Michelle (Nick) Mitchell of Austin, AR and Michael (Shelley) Nasso of Darnestown, MD; great grandchildren Krista, Megan, and Dardyn Mitchell and Carter, Charlie and Max Nasso; sister Eva Beeks of Arkansas City, KS; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Remembrance and gratitude is extended to each caregiver whose excellent care, love and respect was given to her over the years.
Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2016 at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Taylor Rd. in Mission, TX. Pastor Bill Hicks will be officiating
