Perterville - Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Mikesell, 77, widow of Willard Richard Mikesell, died at her home here Wednesday at 10 a.m. following an illness of three months.
Mrs. Mikesell was born April 1, 1857, in Kaysville, a daughter of Samuel and Sarah Davis Carter. She was married to Mr. Mikesell in 1877 in Morgan. She had resided in Porterville 60 years. She was a member of the L.D.S. Church.
Surviving are seven sons and daughters; William B., Joseph M., and Samuel Mikesell, Mrs. Fred Florence and Mrs. Joseph Smith, Porterville, and John H. Mikesell, San Francisco; Mrs. William N. Anderson, Ogden; 29 granchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, and 10 brothers and sisters; James Carter, Lyman, Wyo., Albert, John, James, Daniel and Thomas Carter, Porterville; Mrs. Alice Spackman, Mrs, Mamie Heiner and George Carter, Morgan, and Mrs. Addie Durrant, Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 12 O'clock noon in the Porterville L.D.S. chapel. Interment will be in the Porterville Cemetery, under the direction of the Deseret mortuary.

Sarah was born to Levi Roberts in Kaysville. Her mother Sarah Davis divorced Levi and married Samuel Carter. Samuel adopted Sarah Elizabeth. Sarah Elizabeth is sealed to both Levi Roberts and Samuel Carter.

She is my great grandmother.
