Barbara Louise "Bobbie" Ramsey Pentecost, 69, went home to be with her beloved mom on April 3, 2008. The Rockbridge County native devoted her life to her children and family. She loved flowers and quilting with her mom. She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Pentecost Sr., mother and father, Clarice "Jobe" Ramsey and William Ramsey; siblings, Roy Lee Ramsey, Samuel Ramsey, William Ramsey and Alice Cox. Survivors include two daughters; five sons; and two daughter-in-laws; Melvin, Jr. and Peggy Pentecost, Debbie Pentecost, Herman and Beth Pentecost, Carol Pentecost Kivela, Robert Pentecost, Richard Pentecost, Sammy Pentecost, along with three brothers and four sisters, Grover Ramsey, Delmas Ramsey, Lawrence Ramsey, Madeline Smith, Rosa Beard, Daisy Sears, and Lillian Fitzgerald; twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; many nieces; nephews and friends. Visitation : 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2008 at Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home. Funeral 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Randy Beck officiating. Burial will follow at Oronoco Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Amherst County.
