Son of Philip Empey Sr., U.E. Loyalist, no record of service found for Henry, but his father claimed that Henry joined the regiment, travelling to Canada with him. Henry is noted as being too young to have joined the regiment (K.R.R.N.Y.) in 1780, however, he is on the 1790 roll of Jeremiah French's Militia Company in Upper Canada. Henry was later added to the U.E. Loyalist List , and he had several children petition for land. Henry Empey, along with his father and brothers were all allotted land in Cornwall Township, royal Township 2, for their loyalty to the Crown.
Henry Empey of Cornwall was married to Catherine Ann Rombough and the following children were granted land in Upper Canada. Listed by the date they received their land grant as the children of a Loyalist:
