Ruby Opal Crossland daughter of Will O. Crossland and Ida Mae Barnett.

Ruby married Jack Moore Gaither 16 Nov 1932. They had 5 children. Nelda Jimmie, Nedra Vernal, Ruby Louise,
Billy Jack, and Jerry Wayne Gailter.

Ruby married Amos Dillard Clark 27 Mar 1946. They had one son, William Dillard Clark.

Ruby married Fred C. Ray 19 Jan 1971 in Bryan Co, Oklahoma.

Amos Dillard Clark was my Uncle and second husband to Ruby Opal Crossland Ray. Ruby was a great cook and a charming person. I have wonderful memories of her as a kind and loving lady.

Ruby Opal Crossland Ray, 90, was called home by the Lord on May 21, 2004, at her home in Blossom, at which time Bright-Holland Funeral Home received her into their care.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, at First Baptist Church of Blossom with the Rev. Roger Pugh and the Rev. B. L. Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Knights of Honor Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

She was born on April 8, 1914, the daughter of Will O. and Ida Mae Barnett Crossland in Windom. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Blossom and the Naomi Sunday School class where she was past secretary. She loved making a garden, playing 42 and was a member of the Kilkare 42 club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; two sisters; two daughters; two granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.

Suvivors include her daughter, Louise Canida and husband, Charlie, of Powderly; three sons, Billy Gaither and wife, Aline, of Mount Pleasant; Jerry Gaither and wife, Minnie, of Hugo, Okla., and William Clak and wife, Tammy, of Paris; 37 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Travis Crossland of Pattonville; and a sister, Bonnie Fay Clark of Dodd City.

Casket bearers will be Joe Cedrone, Joe Cedrone Jr., Justin Gambin, Steve Canida, Christopher Gaither, Chris Hines and Kevin Johnson.
