Jack M. Gaither, 82, of Paris died Wednesday, Sep. 7, 1994, in St. Joseph's Hospital & Health Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Little Vine Cemetery. Mr. Gaither was born Jan. 23, 1912, in Allens Point, a son of Ernest and Laura Bell Burkett Gaither. He was a chef and a member of the Powderly Church of God. He is survived by two daughters, Nelda McQuigg of Paris and Louise Canida of Powderly; two sons, Billy Jack Gaither of Mount Pleasant and Jerry Gaither of Hugo, OK; 39 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vernell Henderson in 1993 and a great-grandson, Donnie Lester, in May 1994. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Cedrong, Ernest Goley, Jerry D. Gaither, Jeff Barnett, Mark Whitaker and Michael Hedgecock.
