FALCONE - Ada Marie Russell was born January 3rd, 1924, in Louisville KY. A long-time resident of Delray Beach, FL passed away peacefully June 10, 2022, at the age of 98. She was surrounded by her loving family. Ada is preceded in death by her parents, James M. Russell and Olive Shippen Russell; her husband, Guy Falcone; daughter, Sue Dale Aubrey; and son-in-law, Gerald F. Belcher. She is survived by her sons, Valentino (Linda) Falcone, Daniel Falcone, daughter's Olive Belcher and Rosemarie Falcone. Ada has six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Ada grew up in Lyndon, KY, a suburb of Louisville in a large Catholic family with six brothers and a sister. She attended Sacred Heart Academy and furthered her education at Nazareth College and engaged in nurses training at the Bethesda Naval Hospital. As a young girl she enjoyed horseback riding on her favorite horse, (Patches) playing tennis, dancing, and spent time at Fort Knox with friends dancing with the WWII servicemen. Ada married WWII veteran Guy Falcone in 1948 in Washington DC. Guy worked at the NASA headquarters. The couple settled in Kensington, MD raising the family, later moving to Potomac, MD. She was instrumental in changing legislation for women married to retired federal employees. Ada was employed as an administrative assistant for several decades at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD in the research grants department and after retirement obtained her real estate license at age 80. Ada was a devout Catholic who faithfully attended Mass and the Sacraments throughout her life. Her devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Blessed Mother, was evident throughout her life in the many Mass and Holy cards sent to family and friends on special occasions, holidays in time of need, and even US Presidents. The Holy Rosary was her favorite devotional as she said it daily. Ada possessed considerable influence and power in her family due to her wisdom, faith and longevity. She was considered without a doubt the center of the family and a true matriarch. She always set a good example for them and on several occasions would bring home foster children to show love for others. Ada was lovingly devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she inspired and encouraged to always put God first in their lives. We knew you loved us. We knew you'd always be there. We knew you loved us before we knew you. You guided us. We knew you'd be there. Now, all our days and all our nights and our tomorrows will begin and end with you. Rest in Peace, dear Mother.
