Mr. Kraft had farmed in Allen's Grove Township until retiring three years ago. He had been a former member of the Allen's Grove School Board.
He was born in Hickory Grove Township, Scott County. In 1923 he married Malanie Schult near Dixon.
He was a graduate of the former Brown's Business College.
Survivors include his wife; daughters: Arravelle (Earl) Meyer and Lucille (Harlen) Kardel, both of Walcott; sons: Henry and Richard, both of Dixon, Iowa; his mother: Bettie Kraft of Wilton Junction; 15 grandchildren; and brothers: Raymond, Arnold, Walter and Roman, all of Davenport, and Raleigh of Walcott.
