Mrs. Mattie M. Faber, 83, 615 Jones street, died Wednesday at the residence after a long illness. Mrs. Faber, the former Mattie Magee, was born January 30, 1880, at LeMars, Ia. She was married to Mike Faber at Decatur, Neb. He died May 14, 1955. They farmed near Walthill, Neb., about five years, before coming to Sioux City in 1922. Survivors include three sons, Leonard, Kenneth and Earl, all of Sioux City; three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Wright and Mrs. Rose Kamm, both of Sioux City and Mrs. Helen Beaubien of St. Paul, Minn.; a sister, Mrs. Dora Nixon of South Sioux City and 20 grandchildren. The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie M. Faber, 83, 615 Jones street, who died Wednesday at the residence after a long illness, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside. Rev. Paul Hillman, assistant pastor of Morningside Presbyterian church, will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roland Method, Robert Kamm, George Kamm, Leslie Niell, William Nixon, and William Parson.
