Fred A. Faber, 61, 2501 Wilson street, a resident of Sioux City since childhood, died Saturday at a hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Farber was born October 24, 1899, at Decatur, Neb. He married Catherine Murphy August 1, 1931, at Elk Point. He was employed as a truck driver for Booth Fisheries, Inc., until his retirement two years ago. He was a member of Teamsters' union 383 and Sacred Heart Catholic church. Survivors include the widow; a son, Fred, jr., of Sioux City; seven daughters, Kathleen, Linda, Paulette and Frances, all at home, Mrs. Charles Marshall of Davenport, Mrs. Roger Burke of Moline, Ill., and Mrs. James Zeitler of North Sioux City; three brothers, Leonard, Kenneth and Earl of Sioux City; three sisters, Mrs. George Kamm and Mrs. Elmer Wright of Sioux City and Mrs. Paul Beaubien of St. Paul; his mother, Mrs. Martha Faber and five grandchildren.

Funeral services for Fred A. Faber, 61, 2501 Wilson street, who died Saturday, will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic church. Rev. Eugene Lynch will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sam Bruno, Paul Jackson, Ole Hogan, James Tuton, Lewis Keizer and Phil Johnson. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock tonight at the Berkemier funeral home.
