Michael ("Mike") Faber, 76, 117 S. Cornelia street, died at his home Sunday after a year's illness. Mr. Faber was born December 17, 1876 at LeMars, Ia. He moved to Decatur, Neb., when he was 17 years old. He had been a resident here for 29 years. He married Miss Mattie Mae Magee at Tekamah, Neb., in 1898. Survivors are the widow; four sons, Fred, Leonard, Kenneth and Earl, all of Sioux City; four daughters, Mrs. Hazel Wright, Mrs. Leslie Neil and Mrs. George Kamm, all of Sioux City, and Mrs. Paul Beaubien of St. Paul, Minn.; a brother, Frank Faber of Cherokee, Ia.; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Butcher of Sioux City; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Rutledge funeral home. Rev. John Hantla will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial park cemetery.
