- Michael Jones Gill∼Sarah was the daughter of Michael and Nancy (Clark) Jones and was born in Knox County (later divided and now part of Posey County), Territory of Indiana around 1810, shortly after her parents, who had married in 1805, migrated to the southwestern area of the Territory of Indiana from Lincoln County, Kentucky. Michael established a farm near the hamlet of Farmersville where his father, the Reverend Samuel Jones, had also set up farming and had established the Primitive Bethal Baptist Church near Farmersville. Sarah married Joseph Gill on 26 Mar 1828 in Posey County, Indiana and by 1840 they were the parents of four children: Hannah Ann, Aaron, Benoni and Michael. After Sarah's death Joseph remarried in 1846 to Mary Kivett.
