Stella May Jacks Lamkin, 90, resident of Grenada formerly of Kilmichael, died Thursday, June 8, 1995, at the Grenada Lake Medical Center. Services were held Sunday, June 11, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada at 2:00 p.m. followed by graveside services at Upper Milligan Springs Cemetery in Webster County at 4:00 p.m. Dr. Clarence Cooper officiated.
Mrs. Lamkin was a retired teacher and housewife. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada.
Mrs. Lamkin was the widow of Harvey Lamkin. Survivors include four daughters, Margaret Fultz of Clinton, Ouida Bennett of Duck Hill, Peggy Sasser of Upper Marlboro, MD and Patsy Wagner of Dunkirk, Maryland; three sons, John Lamkin of Grenada, Nathan Lamkin of Canyon Lake, TX and Joe Lamkin of Albany, GA; one sister, Vicki Williams of Little Rock, AR; fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church Bus Fund or the Milligan Springs Baptist Church Building Fund. National Funeral Home of Grenada was in charge of arrangements.
