Funeral services for Mrs. Lola M. Jacks Burchfield, age 90, resident of Stewart, were conducted at Milligan Springs Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 11, 1992 with the Rev. Phil Clements and the Rev. Dennis P. Neenan officiating. Burial followed in the Milligan Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Burchfield died suddenly Wednesday, September 9 at the Baptist Hospital Central in Memphis. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Joseph Jacks and the widow of the late Uriel I. Burchfield.
A native of Montgomery County, Mrs. Burchfield was a retired homemaker and a member of Milligan Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Lucille Townsend of Coldwater: three sons. Alvin B. Burchfield and W. Hugh Burchfield, both of Memphis, and Adrian L. Burchfield of North Carrollton: two sisters. Mrs. Stella Lamkin of Grenada and Mrs. Vicki Williams of North Little Rock, Arkansas; six grandchildren: 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Luther Townsend, Lester Rivers, Weldon Brister, Milton Brister, Harvey Greenlee and Drew Stafford.
Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
