John Allison, 87, Retired Electrician
Pittsburgh, Pa., --Services were held this morning for John C. Allison, 87, of Hearthstone Manor, Brentwood, who died Friday, Oct. 26, 1990, at Allegheny General Hospital following a two-year illness. He was born near Hookstown March 22, 1903, as son of the late John L. Allison and Ella Laughlin Allison. A former resident of Ambridge and Emsworth, Mr. Allison had resided in Pittsburgh since 1974. He was an electrician for the former American Bridge Co. before retiring, many years as a volunteer firefighter at Fair Oaks. His wife, Margaret Laughlin Allison, died in October 1981. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Norman (Bartine) Pace of Pittsburgh; a sister, Mrs. Ellen Bartley of Chester; a brother, Thompson Allison of Florida; two granddaughters and a great-grandson. The services were held at the Wilson Funeral Home of Beaver. Burial was in Beaver Cemetery.
