Eula Ruth Elliott, the oldest child of the late Charlie and Maude Allison Campbell, passed at the Stone Pear Pavilion in Chester on Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
Born in Hookstown in 1921, Ruth would have been 100 years old on February 15.
A loving homemaker, Ruth was at one time an active member of the Chester First Presbyterian Church, and later, the Methodist Church in Lisbon, OH. She graduated from a one-room schoolhouse in Hookstown and she was a member of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Elliott, her son, C. Michael Elliott, and her siblings, Mary Lyons, Ada Jones, and Bill Campbell.
Ruth leaves her family, her daughters, Karen Temple of Chester, and Sherry Crothers of Lisbon; her daughter-in-law, Kay Elliott of Kansas; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Family friend, Patty Ziegler will celebrate Ruth's life at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Wednesday, December 30, at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell. Friends are invited to visit with her family at the funeral home one hour prior to the service, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. 12-26-2020
