Mary E. Lyons, 64
Chester - Services are planned Wednesday for Mrs. Mary E. Lyons, 64, of Chester RD 1, who died Monday morning, Sept. 7, 1992, at the Robert E. Boyce Pavilion in City Hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Hookstown April 15, 1928, a daughter of the late Charles D. and Maude Allison Campbell. Mrs. Lyons was a warehouseman at the
former Taylor, Smith and Taylor China Co. before retiring in 1981. She attended Chester schools, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Her husband, James Lyons, whom she married Feb. 14, 1948, died in February 1978. She is survived by a son, Bill Lyons of Chester; two daughters, Mrs. John (Cheryl) Broadbent of Norwalk, Iowa, and Mrs. Phil (Susan) Smith of Chester; a brother, William Campbell of Mesa, Ariz,; two sisters, Mrs. Vern (Ada) Jones of Chester and Mrs. James (Ruth) Elliott of Lisbon; six grandchildren and two great - grandchildren. The Rev. James Dumire of the church is to conduct the services at 11 a.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel. Burial is to be in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
