Obituary:
Funeral services for Mr. L.H. "Huell" Camp, age 94, of Lineville, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Benefield Funeral Home Lineville with Rev. Zenus Windsor officiating.
Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Clay County Memory Gardens.
Mr. Camp passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019, at the Clay County Hospital.
He was born in Randolph County but had lived most of his life in Clay County, was a U.S. Navy veteran having served two years during World War II in the Pacific Theatre of Operation aboard the U.S.S. Caison.
After his military service Mr. Camp began his career as a Professional Builder and worked in Commercial Construction where he built several local business and also several nursing homes. In his spare time Mr. Camp loved to fish.
He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Janis Camp and Sue (Johnny) Morrison; one son and daughter-in-law, Donny (Cathy) Camp all of Lineville; one sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie (Monroe) Smith of Norcross, Ga.; one brother and sister-in-law, J. B. (Shirley) Camp of White Plains; seven grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hannan (sic) and Amzie Cockrell Camp; his wife, Mary Louise Camp; one grandson, Brandon Camp; one great-grandson, Conner Moucheron; six sisters, Vernice Gunn, Maudine Cofield, Catherine Owens, Melba Hunt, Mary Frances Colburn, and Mildred Martin; and four brothers, Bayron Camp, Aubrey Camp, Rex Camp, and Lavelle Camp.
Active pallbearers will be Bailey Camp, Logan Camp, Keith Mezick, Adam Brand, Novice Graben, and Victor Colburn.
Johnny Morrison will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.
The family will receive friends Saturday May 4, 2019, from 9:30 until service time at 11:00.
