Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 23 at 11 a.m. at Lanett First Baptist Church with Dr. Russell Dean and the Rev. Gene Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Lanett.
Mrs. Gunn is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Judy Colley of Lanett and Ms. Dawn Marrin of LaGrange; her granddaughter, Terry (Jeremy) Schniper of Atlanta, Ga.; five sisters, Maudene Coefield, Melba Hunt and Frances Colburn, all of Lineville, Ala., Katherine Owens of Grayson, Ga., and Bonnie Smith of Chamblee, Ga.; and four brothers, Aubrey Camp and Huell Camp, both of Lineville, J.B. Camp of Anniston, Ala., and Rex Camp of Goodwater, Ala.
Born Oct. 27, 1917 in Clay County, Ala., Mrs. Gunn was a homemaker and very active in her church, Lanett First Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher in the children's department for over 40 years. She was a member of the Baptist Women's W.M.U. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pervis Gunn. She was the daughter of the late Amzee Lee Cochran Camp and Hannon Camp.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Lanett First Baptist Church or Chattahoochee Hospice, Valley.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 22 from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCarthy Funeral Home in West Point.
