Elizabeth Workman was born at Wappelo, Iowa, December 14 1872. When two years old she came to Kansas with her parents, and her life was spent within a few miles of this city, where she was respected by all who knew her. She became the wife of Alex Standley September 21, 1889, to which union three sons and three daughters were born, one of whom preceded her to the shores of eternity. A faithful wife and kind mother, a good neighbor and true friend, has gone from our midst to be missed by a large circle of friends. The bereaved family has the warmest sympathy of the entire community.
Funeral services were held in the Christian Church, Thursday (Nov. 28) at 11 a.m., conducted by Rev. Blanchard. She is buried in the cemetery east of town.
