George H. Workman, passed away in Kansas City, July 30, at the age of 31 years.
He was born Dec. 11, 1880 at Courtland, and was very well known there. Nine years ago he went to Kansas City, where he was employed as assistant cashier in the National Bank of Commerce, until his death.
The remains were brought to Courtland last Tuesday morning. Funeral services were held at the Christian church, Wednesday, conducted by Rev. Jewett. Burial was made in the Mr. Pleasnat cemetery. His mother, Mrs. Jerome Workman fours sisters and one brother survive.
