Teresa Ann Burr Dies
Mrs. Teresa Ann Burr, 76, 727 S. Fifth St., died Sunday at 10:10 a.m. at the Wheat Road Lodge in Winfield.
She was born April 19, 1892 in Sumner county to Arnold Jarboe and Alice Davis Jarboe. She was reared near Ashton and had lived all her life in and around Arkansas City. She had spent the past few years traveling with a son, C.L. Burr.
Survivors include five sons, Arthur of 823 S. Second St., John of Route 2, (Jack) Gary, of Geuda Springs, Clarence (Shorty) of Phoenix, Ariz., and Aaron of 1321 W. Colorado Ave., four daughters, Mrs. Garland (Wilma) Cunningham, Rt. 3., Mrs. Harold (Alice) Lowrie, Mulvane, Mrs. Ira W. (Ruth) Sumpter, Wichita, and Mrs. Fred (Mary) Wolf, Rt. 1, one sister, Mrs. Katie Deely, Indio, Calif., 38 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Will Jarboe, one half-brother, Charley Jarboe, two sisters, Mrs. Sam (Mable) Robinson and one infant sister, Tresia, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Rindt Memorial chapel with Rev. James Beck officiating. Burial will be in Parker cemetery.
The body will lie in state from 4 p.m. today until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. The casket will not be open at the services.
