Funeral Services for Joyce Lovoria Basinger Boyett, 92 will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Thomas Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery.

Joyce was born July 4, 1929 in Sarepta, Louisiana and passed away on August 20, 2021. She was the daughter of James Frank Basinger and Maggie Ola Bullock Basinger and the sister to 14 brothers and sisters. She was a loving Mom, Grandmother and Friend. She was a member of Gateway Church in Shreveport and always had a smile on her face.

Mrs. Boyett was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 50 1/2 years Roy M. Boyett, her son Jamie Edwards, her parents James Frank Basinger and Maggie Ola Bullock Basinger, grandsons William Roy Boyett, David Charles Poston, Derek Michael Beckman and all her brothers and sisters and in-laws.

Survivors include sons, Jim Boyett and wife Lainie, Roy M. Boyett , Jr. (Tony) and wife Gretchen; daughters Brenda Lauw, Debbie Loesch, and Susan Simmons and husband Billy; two sister-in-laws Clarene Gish and Sue Hicks; Grandchildren Shawn Aragon, Syndie Woodhall, Jimmy Boyett, Lloyd Lauw, Jr. (Duke), Les Lauw and wife Ashley, Mandy Chapman and husband Kevin, Joy Miller and husband Michael, Tasha Henley and husband Hank, Vicky Roy and husband Devin, Jenny Navarre and husband Tim, Justin Trey Beckman and wife Kim, Ryan Porterhawk and wife Tina, Gavin and wife Bri, and Taylor; 29 great grandchild and 7 great-great grandchild.
