Lillian Collins Squires, 85, widow of Wade Hampton Squires died October 21, 1994, in Bay View Nursing Home in Beaufort, SC after an illness. Funeral services were held October 23, 1994, from Cox-Collins Gordon Taylor officiating. Interment followed in Cool Springs Methodist Church Cemetery. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. WadeDelle (Ed) Moody of Bamberg, SC, and Mrs. Lynnette (Douglas)Hardwick of Brooks, Ga.
Mrs. Squires was born August 30, 1909 in Marion County, a daughter of the late Hampton Wade Collins and Mabeth Williamson Collins.

She was a graduate of Mullins High School, Class of 1929, and a graduate of Winthrop College, Class of 1933, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Latin. She taught school in the Sandy Run Community in Calhoun County, Rains High School in Marion County and in the Horry County School System. Mrs. Squires was a member of Aynor Baptist Church and a former member of the Senior Citizens Class of the church. Also, she was the retired owner of W.H.Squires Company,Inc. of Aynor, S.C.
