Mr. Paul "Duck" Wachter Tressler, 68, of 13234 Glissans Mili Road, near Mount Airy, died Wednesday, June 10, at his residence after an extended illness.
Born July 8, 1923 near Taneytown in Carroll County, he was a son of the late Samuel G. Sr. and Rena B. Wachter Tressler.
He did construction work and landscaping and had been associated
with Ron Graunke, near Libertytown.
He is survived by bis wife, Sarah Hale Faulkner Tressler; two daughters, Flossie B. Layton of Mountaindale and LaRue Beckley of
Frederick, seven grandchildren, one great-grandson; three sisters, Florence Magaha and Lillian Pasquarette, who live near Mount Airy, and Mary Bollinger of Emmitsburg; two brothers, Samuel G.
Tressler Jr., who lives near Mount Airy, and James M. Tressler, who
lives near Walkersville; and a number of nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 12, at the
Libertytown Funeral Home of D.D. Hartzler. Officiating will be the Rev. L. Ross Kirk Jr., pastor of the Locust Grove Church of the Brethren. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery. The family will
receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 11, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions
be made to Hospice of Frederick County, 1730 N. Market St., Frederick, Md. 21701, or to Annabelle Tressler, 12641 Glissans Mill Road, Mount Airy, MQ. 21771.
