Mrs. Rena Bell Tressler, 91, of Kimmel Road, Libertytown, died at her home Sunday, Feb. 19 after an extended illness.
She was born Aug. 16, 1892 in Creagertown, a daughter of the late Martin L. and Florence Bell Wachter Sr.
Mr. and Mrs. Tressler would have celebrated their 75th wedding annlversary on May 12.
Surviving are her husband, Samuel G. Tressler Sr.; three daughters, Mrs. Florence Magaha of near Libertytown, Mrs. Lillian Pasquarette of near Central, and Mrs. Mary Bellinger of near Emmitsburg; five sons. Hammond U. Tressler of Wheaton, Carl A. Tressler of
near Ubertytown. Paul W. Tressler of near Mount Airy. Samuel G. Tressler Jr. of near Libertytown, and James M. Tressler of near Walkersville; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Marguerite Bell of Fort Pierce, Fla., and Mrs. Viola Craver of near Charlesville; and two brothers, Leslie Wachter and Vanderbllt Wachter, both of Frederick.
The family will receive friends from 7
to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at the
Libertytown funeral home of D.D. Hartzler.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30
a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, at the funeral
home. The Rev. William McFarland.
pastor of the Liberty United Methodist
Church, will officiate. Interment will be
made in Mount Olivet Cemetery,
Frederick. .
