J.T. Blaylock, 82, of Clinton, formerly of Duck Hill, died of heart failure Friday, April 18, 1997, at his residence in Clinton.

Mr. Blaylock was a member of Duck Hill Baptist Church. He was a retired self-employed carpenter and a former mayor of Duck Hill. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.W.Blaylock.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 20, at Oliver Chapel in Winona with the Rev. W. M. Hull officiating. Burial was in Duck Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Blaylock is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Blaylock of Clinton; three daughters, Sarah Williams of Ruleville, Sallie Briscoe of Senatobia, Peggy Butler of Oxford; two sons, Jerry Blaylock of Clinton, Tommy Blaylock of Raymond; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren

Pallbearers were Keith Briscoe, Kevin Briscoe, Scott Holder, Todd Holder, Steven Blaylock and David Little.

Oliver Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of arrangements.
