George Lamar Blaylock

George Lamar Blaylock, age 74, a retired carpenter and farmer of Duck Hill, died Thursday, September 2, after a lengthy illness, at the Tyler Holmes Hospital.

Mr. Blaylock, a native of Montgomery County was married to the late Mrs. Lottie Williamson.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Jack P. Britt of Duck Hill; 2 sisters, Mrs. Herman Taylor of Duck Hill and Mrs. Pauline Taylor of Winona; 3 brothers, Dewitt Blaylock of New Orleans, Eugene Blaylock of Holcomb and J. T. Blaylock of Duck Hill, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Blaylock was a member of Eskridge Baptist Church.

Services were held at Oliver Chapel, Saturday, September 4 at 3 p.m., officiated by Rev. W. M. Hull, assisted by Rev. George Steward.

Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery with Oliver Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were George Parker, Percy Parker, Kelly Brooks, Roy Dean Corley, Fred Johnson and Archie Britt.
