Hill Cemetery for Veterans in Putnam County, New York. Mr. Kent was born in Brattleboro, Vt. Feb. 2, 1917, the eighth child of William and Rosella (Aldrich) Kent. He attended school in Brattleboro. An Army veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific and was on the water when Pearl Harbor was bombed. He had lived in Pleasant Valley since 1972 and was last employed as caretaker by Millbrook Central School. Survivors include his wife, Alice Carleton Kent, whom he married in 1947; two brothers, William Kent of Desert Hot Springs Calif., and Richard Kent of Lagrangeville, N.Y.; and four sisters, Edith Crown of Wiscasset, Maine, Mary Avery of Brockton, Mass., Mable Brown of Bernardston Mass., and Rosella Desbiens of East Haven, Conn.; and mane nieces and nephews.
