HENRY MICKELS TAKEN BY DEATH

Henry Mickels, 73, of 711 South 19th Street passed away this morning at St. Joseph's hospital. He had been in failing health for some time but became seriously ill three weeks ago. Mickels was born near Unionville, Mo., March 10,1875, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Mickels. He has been a long time resident of this city. He is survived by his wife Martha and four children who are Mrs. Merle Jones of Des Moines, Raymond of Ottumwa, Pearl of Cedar Rapids, and James R. of this city.

There are three grand­children and he also leaves two brothers, Jim E. of Centerville and Harrison of Indiana and three sisters, Mrs. Gertie Wickum of Seymour, Laura Baugher of Centerville, and Mary of Missouri. There are several nieces and nephews. One son, Norman preceded him in death in 1925. Funeral services will be held at the Miller Funeral Home Fri­day afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
