Mrs. Goff Dies; Headed AL Unit
Mrs. Loretta Verrette Goff, 75, of 220 W. Ellis St., East Syracuse, died unexpectedly yesterday at Crouse Irving-Memorial Hospital. A retired employe of Salina Plating Co. she had earlier worked for Benedicts Silver Plating Co. She was a past president of the Arthur Butler Post 359, American Legion Auxiliary, and a member of the 8 and 40 Auxiliary. She was also a member of the St. Matthew's Church Guild and the Father Leo Finley Columbiettes, and the Bishop Grimes Court 838 Catholic Daughters of America. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Rita Van Pelt, and a son, William J. Goff, both of East Syracuse; two brothers, Lena and Ernest Verrette; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Delaney and Greabell Funeral Home, and at 10 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Minoa. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and Sunday at the funeral home.
