Lyledean A. Deeds, 91, passed away November 26, 2020 at Blair Ridge Health Campus in Peru, IN, after many years of struggling with Parkinson’s Disease.
He was born June 10, 1929 in Pulaski County to Guy William and Mahala Emma (Clingaman) Deeds. He moved to Miami County, near Deedsville, at the age of 14. He graduated from Deedsville High School in 1947 and attended Manchester College.
He married his high school sweetheart, Lela Brower August 7, 1949. She preceded him in death this past April. They purchased a farm south of Deedsville in 1956 where they lived until moving to Blair Ridge last year.
He is survived by sons, Mark (Barb) Deeds and Greg (Vickie) Deeds; five grandchildren: Matthew Deeds (Lori); Andrew Deeds (Anna); Kevin Deeds (Kathryn); Cami Valadez (Luis, Jr.); and Scott Deeds, and 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters Sandra Miller and Deloris Lowe, a brother-in-law Larry Brower (Geraldine), and sisters-in-law Vera Green, Sianna Deeds and Jane Deeds Sonne.
Brothers Dale, Carter, Bill and Jerry and sister Jean preceded him in death.
Lyle was a partner in Deeds Brothers Construction and later, owner of Lyle Deeds Construction. He also raised cattle and farmed. He had been an active member of the Deedsville UM Church where he served on the Board of Trustees. He was a beloved father and grandfather, attending almost every high school football and basketball games of Matt, Andy and Kevin.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at Westlawn Cemetery, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Bill Babb officiating.
