Mrs. Lulu May Davis, 82, widow of William J. Davis,and a resident of Albion area 42 years, died at her home on the Springboro-Albion road, Friday, July 9, at 12:40 p.m. She was highly regarded and her death brought sorrow to many.
Mrs. Davis was born at Turkey City, Pa., October 8, 1871, a daughter of Edward Milliken and Minnie {Taylor} Milliken. She was a member of the Albion Methodist Church and the W.S.C.S.
Surviving are the following children: Martha Shannon, Springboro; Harold Nathaniel Davis, Yuma, Arizona; Earl Kier Davis, Margaret Beery and Delna Ruth Sawdy, Albion and Frank Lloyd Davis of Elkins, West Virginia; brothers and sisters, Roy Milliken, Phoenix, Arizona; Clifford and Arthur Milliken, Pittsburgh, and Pearl Henggi, Oakmont, Pennsylvania; 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday from the C. L. Wemple Funeral Home, Albion, in charge of Reverend H.E. Boyd. Burial was in Albion Cemetery.
