"Mrs. Katie A. McAlister
Mrs. Katie Ann McAlister, who came to Oklahoma in territorial days and settled in the Overbrook Community in 1879, died Tuesday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.P. Hollingsworth, 411 C. street southeast. She was 92 years old and had made her home in Ardmore since 1898.

Born Feb. 1, 1852 at Blakesburg, Iowa, Mrs. McAlister was in good health until a week ago. She fell in her home last Thursday and developed pneumonia which resulted in her death.

Mrs. McAlister is survived by two sons, Roy McAlister, Ardmore and Frank McAlister, Batesville, Texas and two other daughters, Mrs. A.E. Douglas and Mrs. Minnie Criner, here.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Harvey Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Homer Haislip minister of the First Christian Church, and the Rev. Robert Smith, pastor of the First Methodist Church.

Burial in Rose Hill cemetery will have Clarence Harris, E.M. Jameson, Hugh McIntire, Leonard Hurst, Jerry Kirby and Leo Atkins as pallbearers."
