Mrs. Best Dies in Lock Haven— Mrs. Anna Myrtle Johnston Best of Lock Haven, formerly of Sligo, died January 31, in the Lock Haven Hospital, following a short illness. She was the wife of Dana Best. Born in Piney Township, she was a daughter of the late Steele S. and Mary Myers Johnston. She was married in May 1936 to Dana Best, who survives. Mrs. Best was a member of the Mill Hall United Methodist Church. Surviving along with her husband, Dana, are a step-son, Ronald Best; four brothers, James A. Johnston of Sligo, Ray Johnston of Youngstown, Ohio; Eugene Johnston of Huey and Paul Johnston of Mill Hall; eight sisters, Mrs. Ida J. Bennett of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Ruth Larimer, Mrs. Evelyn Wensel and Mrs. Helen Best of Sligo, Mrs. Grace Wetzel of Burnside, Mrs. Frances Getson of Nova Scotia, Mrs. Mary Wood of Van and Mrs. Violet Kiehl of Mayport. A brother and a sister are deceased. Funeral services were held at the Mortiarty Funeral Home in Lock Haven at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, Rev. Reynold Jones officiated. Interment was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.-- Oil City Derrick, 6 Feb 1971.
